Nicky has been working extensively with individuals, children, adolescents and their families for over 20 years. She specializes in supporting and equipping her clients to reach their fullest potential drawing on a combination of modalities including attachment theory, expressive (play and art therapy), systems theory, Satir Transformational Therapy, Emotion Focused, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused. She loves to incorporate play based strategies to support client growth using a variety of tools such as puppets and sand tray therapy and has worked extensively with clients with diverse needs and abilities.

Nicky holds both an Honours Bachelor of Psychology degree, a Bachelor of Education degree, as well as a Master’s in Counselling degree. She is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors and a member of the BC Teachers Federation.
In her spare time, Nicky loves to spend time with her husband and four grown children (now young adults). She also loves to be outside in nature, walking with her dog, hiking local trails or kayaking on the ocean!
